I love Thankful Thursday! I'm on day 2 of my summer vacation and it's already going fast. Yesterday, I stayed home and cleaned, organized and did laundry. Nothing much to blog about. Well, today I have so much to blog about! Cooper had an appointment to go to the groomer's this morning. While there, they also told me that he was due for a check up. So I thought, while he was there to go ahead and take care of everything, so he wouldn't have to go back. He was a good sport and worn out by the time he got home this afternoon. While Cooper was getting his hair cut, I went shopping. While shopping, a friend from my church and Bible Study was shopping too. We chatted for a bit and went on our way. Well. . .I was finding way too many deals (mostly for Maggie) that by the time I got out of the store it was lunch time to my surprise! I called Mike to see if he wanted to do lunch. I had a gift card for Panera, but the line was out the door, so we headed to the best place without a gift card, CHICK-FIL-A! They were busy, but lunch was nice and hot! I also had a doctor appointment today and all is well. I go for bloodwork again at the end of the month, only 9 more months left!!! Then I don't see him until September! I'm amazed at the doctor's office. My appointment was at 3:00, but he didn't see me until after 4:30! I could have gotten really upset, but it was a great hour and a half for me to read my Karen Kingsbury book "Summer". When the Dr. walked in, I told him it was perfec timing for him to come in--I was just starting to tear up! You never know when you will start crying in a Kingsbury book. I then raced to Weight Watchers for my Thursday weigh in. . .I lost 1.6 this week. With a grand total of 13 pounds I have lost in 10 weeks! So finally around 6:15 I make it home with being out all day. I have to make dinner since I'm on vacation, no excuses now! (Except I will tell you this--Mike and I are working in our Summer Kids Club at church on Wednesday nights. We are leading the 2nd and 3rd graders around to the different stations all night. This was our 2nd week and the 2nd time Mike has mentioned to me about I don't know how you do that all day five days a week and we are only doing it for two hours one day a week. I told him, now you know why I come home and can't think and don't want to cook dinner! Don't misunderstand me, he likes working with the children, he just doesn't have the experience of being around them a lot.) Dinner was yummy: grilled pork chops, carrots, green beans, and corn on the cob! Well, so know you are asking. . .it's Thankful Thursday and are you going to tell us what you are thankful for?? I did in a round about way! I am thankful for my hubby, puppy and safety.

Mike has been working out with P90X for several weeks now, so today when I was out I bought him a new workout outfit. I just wanted him to know how proud and thankful I was.
Cooper is sooo cute! I can't believe come September we will have had Cooper for two years. I have a hard time thinking back to when we didn't have Cooper. It's like he has always been part of our family. I'm thankful for our pets that God gives us!

Safety is something that we sometimes take for granted. I did over 50 miles today and God protected me the entire time. I'm so thankful for staying alert and for my guardian angels that were watching over me. (No, I was not almost in an accident. The Lord just reminded me of this tonight.) Thank you for keeping me safe--Amen.
God's Word for today: Psalm 91:11 "For He shall give His angel charge over you, To keep you in all your ways."
Be Thankful!
