I can't believe another week has passed and here I am again being thankful. I'm sad, but thankful today because tonight was my last night of "Lord, Change My Attitude" Bible Study. It's hard to believe that the 11 weeks are over and I have learned so much. I know my attitude has changed and I'm praying that it will continue to be changed. Again, I'm amazed at how God works in my life each day. In the 2nd week of Bible Study we discussed having a thankful heart. We read the passage in Luke where the 10 lepors were healed and only one thanked Jesus. This week we are having Spiritual Emphasis Chapels at school. And today's speaker spoke on this same story and I was reminded of how when we are thankful, it brings us to the feet of Jesus, just as when the lepor was thankful he fell at Jesus' feet and praised Him. I want to be that one that is healed and is thankful at Jesus' feet.
I am thankful that tomorrow is FRIDAY and my spring break starts at 3:00pm!!!

Amy,
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed this blog, I guess it was because I was out of town on work last Thursday. Anyway, this was especially good and timely! I just finished praying for so many people I know that are out of work, and are facing difficulties in their lives.
We hate to think that a loving God would allow us to go through difficult times when He is certainly able to rescue us, heal us, etc., but it is because of His great love that He is able to use these moments in our lives to draw us closer to Him.
I am reminded of the 2 Timothy 2:13, "If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself."
Although it is not a Thursday, I would like to tag on to your Thankful Thursday blog that I am very much thankful for God's faithfulness in bringing you through your difficulties this past year! It was just after Spring Break last year that you started sharing with us some of the problems you were facing. We rejoice with you, knowing that through all your pain and tears, God was there with you. And, you do have an amazing attitude! I have always seen God's presence in your life reflected in your attitude!
